It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here at 21 Rosemary Lane now that the centrepiece of our home is up and all decked out for the holidays. And of course, I had to change the tree up again this year. If you remember, last year I used real pictures and picture frames to decorate my tree. Click here to see last year's tree.
The look of burlap has really begun to grow on me as I love the rustic appearance and feel of the material. This year I decided to combine burlap with some branches from our backyard which I spray painted white to decorate our tree.
I wrapped the tree with some holly garland and added red and gold Christmas ornaments of different sizes and finishes. The burlap has been cinched at certain points so to give it more of a polished appearance instead of looking like the tree had been bound. The white branches are simply poked in at various spots. (These branches tie into the ones incorporated into the fireplace mantel display. Click here to see our 2012 mantel.)
Even Buster is enjoying the pretty tree lights from his window perch.
Is your Christmas tree up and dressed for the holidays? Do create a theme or are you more of a sentimentalist and use decorations which you've accumulated through the years?
